Cuban-American rapper and producer Armando Christian Pérez, known as Pitbull, lunched a new song together with the reggaeton artists IAmChino and Yomil, in memory of El Dany, who died in Havana due to cardiac arrest at the young age of 31.

Titled Give it to me, the song was launched with a video, which at the end reads: “In loving memory of Daniel El Dany Muñoz”.

“Rest in peace El Dany, enjoy the sky,” says Pitbull in his part of the song. During the clip, several images of the late reggaeton artist are appreciated.

In August, Pitbull announced that he was preparing with the popular DJ IAmChino a special tribute for El Dany.

“Always thanks to you for the opportunity, we have already made history, now we are going to continue making history and Dany’s legacy will always live on,” commented then the also Cuban IAmChino, one of the most sought-after producers of the moment in urban music and DJ of Pitbull.

Pitbull had previously collaborated with Yomil and El Dany, in the creation of Libertad 547, the eleventh studio album by the Cuban-American, where the duo appeared with the song Winning.

The death of El Dany in Havana in the middle of the year was an event that shocked Cubans inside and outside the island. The reggaeton artist was one of the most popular and prominent figures in the Cuban music industry and his successes with Yomil grabbed the top spots on the Cuban charts.

Along with music, El Dany was also a lover of fashion. He established various dress style guidelines among young people on the island and even launched his own clothing line, Sensei, in which his passion for urban trends is embodied.

In his neighborhood of Centro Habana, the artist had won the affection of those around him, often helping his neighbors and giving young people clothes and shoes. At the beginning of the coronavirus crisis, the reggaeton artist was delivering bags with food and basic necessities to families in Key West, in Havana.
