The Cuban repartero Chocolate MC has a new reason to smile after the sad news of his grandmother’s death in Cuba.
The urban singer has just received two gold records from the United States Industrial Label Association: one for his popular single Bajanda and another for A Veces (EN: Sometimes), in collaboration with Cuban singer-songwriter Lenier Mesa; a distinction granted to artists after their record productions reach the sales figure of between 20,000 and 40,000 copies.
This was announced by the “King of the deliverymen” through two publications he made on his social networks in which he proudly showed the awards and with which he took the opportunity to thank his “super public” and all those who made possible These achievements in his musical career.
Chocolate MC also wanted to give his prize a sentimental value and dedicated it to the memory of his grandmother, his mother Yayi Hernández and the missing Cuban reggaeton singer Elvis Manuel.

Bajanda is, without a doubt, one of the most popular themes and that has most marked the reggaeton route of Yosvanis Arismín Sierra, real name of Chocolate MC.
Although the song began to play on Latin radios and dance floors in the summer of 2018, the video clip was not presented until the end of November of that year on the official YouTube channel of the urban deliveryman.
The audiovisual material was recorded in several places in the city of Miami, Florida, with the main participation of the Cuban dancer Nani Díaz and the choreography of the dance body of the Baila con Micho Academy. Today it has more than 4 million views.
Sometimes, on the other hand, it is a much more current musical production. The video clip of the song, which features the leading participation Chocolate MC and Lenier Mesa, was released in January 2019 and currently accumulates more than 11 million views on YouTube of “The King of the Deliverymen.”
