Willy Chirino and Leoni Torres are working on a new single
The Cuban singers Willy Chirino and Leoni Torres are preparing a musical collaboration together, according to the publications of both musicians, which allude to “surprises” and “a beautiful gift for our audience.”
“A few days ago Leoni Torres came to our house, someone I admire a lot for his great talent as a singer and songwriter. After meeting him personally I admire him more … stay connected that there are surprises!” Chirino announced on his social media.
“It is a pleasure to meet you and that you welcome us into your home. All my life I have been a great admirer of your music and today another dream is fulfilled. Thank you for thinking of me for this beautiful musical gift for our audience,” wrote Leoni Torres in the comments to the post, without offering further details about the project.
Later, the musician from Camaguey posted a photo of the meeting on Instagram and reiterated his gratitude to the musician living in Miami.

“A dream come true! A beautiful song from this legend. Thank you Willy Chirino for thinking of me for this musical gift,” wrote the singer.
The followers of both musicians reacted enthusiastically to the announcement, including the actress Yuliet Cruz, a partner of Leoni Torres, who wrote on Instagram “What a thrill! Great”
“Caballones, how nice that you work together, I love you!” Cuban singer Kelvis Ochoa also indicated in the comments.
Willy Chirino’s last collaboration with a Cuban was the song “Yo soy cubano”, which he performed with Alexis Valdés and Arturo Sandoval and which vindicates the Cubanness of those who reside outside the island.
Recently, Willy Chirino also announced that the first single from his new album will be a collaboration with the Puerto Rican salsa singer, Gilberto Santa Rosa. “The single falls on all digital platforms and comes with video and shit! … Stay tuned!”, The singer wrote on Facebook a couple of weeks ago.
Leoni Torres, for his part, premiered at the end of April the video clip for the song “Si tú no estás” which is part of his most recent album, entitled Alma Cubana.
